Spring Break 2009 - Family Style

We went back to Tennessee. We stayed in Wears Valley. From Pigeon Forge it is approx 10 miles west. Then about 1 mile of roads that turn every which way. Straight up and then straight down. I hate that part of it, but will do it every year just to get to stay here. I love the cabin and love being with my family and best friends. I am looking forward to the time that my brother and his children can join us. Hopefully next year............... Hope you enjoy my photos.
The fog was rolling in, but if you look towards the left side of this photo you will see the cabins. The small photo that you can see, is the cabin that we stay in. It is called Copper Top and it is amazing. I still want to crap my pants when we drive up to the top. I am always so afraid. But I was able to keep my eyes open the third trip up. I was holding Laurens hand. This is a photo of the new pool house that was added in January. It was really very nice. I can't believe how they can build this stuff on the side of a mountain...... Crazy....... At one point there were 16 of us there. It was the Norman, Lori, Lindsey, Leah, Lauren and their German, Rani, Dad, Mom, John, Kelly, David, Jamie, Alisha, Austin, Kevin and I. It was great to get away.
We went to the Ripley's Aquarium and I became a part of a waterglobe. This was a lot of fun and we got to see a bunch of really cool fish. I was glad that John suggested going there. If you look close you can see the Seahorses in this aquarium. Lauren and I got to touch a stingray. That was really cool to.
Having a bathtub big enough to lay in with your bestest friend in the whole wide world is awesome. Kelly's husband John decided the fastest way to get us out, was to turn on the water.
It is really nice to have a living room large enough to have areas for everyone to have room to sit and talk. Lauren, Lindsey, Leah and Rani are looking up something on the computer and Norman, Kevin, Dad and David are just bullshitting. Kelly, Lori and I just sitting around doing a little "GIRL" talk. It was really nice to relax with my sister and my best friend.

We believe that this was Otis. He was most friendly of the three raccoons, that appeared nightly. They really loved the food that we fed them..... They would sit by the door and wait to be served.Dad, Kevin, Mom, Jamie and Austin in the background. This was on Saturday morning when the Howell's just stopped by for breakfast and ended up leaving at 8 o'clock in the evening.
I will post more photos later. I want to show you pictures of the family on the steps and the theatre room, it has the best seats in the house.

Introducing - Miss Riley Jean Saylor

I went and visited my Goddaughter Jennifer, her husband Jode and their new baby girl today at the hospital. I was glad that Jen had the baby before we left for vacation and that I was able to get to see and hold her today. What a little sweetheart. Really makes me feel old, with all these babies coming because it just seems like the other day when I was holding the mom's for the very first time. This first picture is really my favorite of all that I took today.... Riley Jean Saylor, coming in to this world on March 24th at 12:57 am, tipping the scales at 7 pounds 6 ounces, and measuring 20 1/2 inches long. She loves her fingers. She sucks them so hard that they start to turn purple. Can't really tell how long they have been her best friends.
Proud Mama and Daddy. She's such a little peanut. Check out the dollhouse, that Grandpa Dean brought to the hospital.

Happy Grandpa Dean and Grandma Fran Wolff. This is the first family photo with both of their granddaughters. Eva is 1 1/2 and she is my cousin Kate and Chuck's daughter. She is a sweetheart! I think she is patting Riley like a puppy.
P.S. I would have named her Riley Suzanne, but what do I know? :)
P.S.S. My sister had great news tonight her friend Marie is doing better....

Computer Class - Postponed due to Slumber Party

My monday computer class with my mom was postponed today. On Sunday night after Family day, all the young ones of the family decided they were coming to the Troyer Bed and Breakfast for the night. (One problem, with the B&B we had no B or B's) Everyone came except for Morgan, she had to rest for softball practice. I told her we will do this again so that she can be included. It felt weird with all but her here at my house. We wiied, tanned, watched movies and used the laptops. It was a fun time had by all. Kevin went to bed, and slowly everyone started to get tired. I think Madi, Mitchell and I were the last ones up. Ryan, Leah, Rani, Madi and Linz all on our couch. This is before, I had to find pillows and blankets for 6 extra people.
Madi and Leah are enjoying the aero bed. This is the spot they chose, along with Rani. Believe or not the bed actually stayed full of air. This is the brand new bed, that Kricket decided to chew up. We (Lauren and I) used black gorilla tape and glue on this bed, and made it work. It's a little Ghetto but what the heck, it's better than the floor.
Lindsey is already asleep. Rani is watching Twilight and Lauren is probably texting someone.
Mitchell is sleeping in my bed. I think this is the most comfortable spot we have. At least he won't have to share the blankets with anyone.

Class 3 - Week 3 ~ Seems like forever :)

Today is our third class. My student has learned to raise her hand before asking questions. I really like the respect that I get from her.
She's all happy thinking she knows what she's doing! And then we snap back to reality.
I'm not too sure if she is enjoying this class or not. Today, I slipped and called her a word that sounds like trucker. She wasn't listening to me and I had to get her attention, so I said "Hey wait a minute, *ucker!" I don't think she's tooo mad? I kept taking her picture and I think I was giving her a headache.
Today I taught her how to save pictures to her computer, how to send emails with attachments, how to instant message people, really just me, which I was sitting right next to her, that was funny! We even have web cameras which about made us pee our pants from laughing so hard. We have fun when we are together. I think we will probably spend all vacation on these stupid laptops IM (instant messaging) each other.

Computer Class - Week 2

As you can see, we are still having computer classes. Today I let her use two hands while typing. I'm not really sure how many more classes Mom is going to need, but I am here to help. We worked on responding to emails and the one that she is working on in this picture was to Misty.
During our lunch break, we went and met Lauren at Applebees. It was really nice, since she teaches in Plymouth, and I live here, we got to spend some time together. We decided that maybe we can meet for lunch monthly. I think it sounds like a great idea.
Well I will keep you all posted on the computer classes, and don't be surprised if my student emails you. She is really excited and doing a great job. Hey, I think I forgot to mention she is top in my class..........

Computer Class 101

Ok where do we start? I am teaching my mother how to use her laptop. A laptop is what she wanted to get, so that she can stay connected to everyone, the tech way. Today was our first class, and she has learned how to turn on the computer. I really didn't want to go to fast for her.
Actually, I just refreshed her memory on the things that she used to do at school, but now it will be on her own laptop! Moms email address is mama.wolff@yahoo.com for any of you that wish to email her.
She is doing well and I believe that we will be having another class on Monday, so she can come and steal my internet!
